WALLS:

In 2013 Architectural Historian Dr Ingrid Van Bremen and produced a book called 'Western Building Construction: Roofs' which documented the type of roof construction systems that were used during the first 100 years of European settlement of Western Australia from 1829. By the end of 2016, the next edition in this series, which is all about Walls, will appear.

To celebrate the 2016 WA Heritage Festival and the 'At Home with Heritage' Day in the Perth Cultural Centre, Dr Ingrid Van Bremen will speak about this new work, also explaining how the architectural material in the State Archives collection proved a valuable resource for her research.
