Update to the State Records Office Digitization Specification

Following consultation and discussion with Government Organizations, the State Records Office is pleased to announce that the Digitization Specification has been updated in relation to specifications for reproductions of receipts/proof of purchase records. 
 
This update will assist in the processing of low value/low risk receipts/proof of purchase records, where reproductions have been created with devices such as mobile phone cameras and where organizations have implemented the General Disposal Authority for Source Records (RD 2016002).
 
The Digitization Specification must be utilised by State and Local government organizations implementing the General Disposal Authority for Source Records (RD 2016002), which is the official and continuing authority that allows for the legal destruction of source records that have been successfully reproduced (digitized).
